General Shabeg Singh

General Shabeg Singh (1925–1984), most highly decorated Indian Army general. He is known for his role in training of Mukti Bahini volunteers during the Bangladesh Liberation War.In essence he is the father to Indian unconventional warfare ie guerilla tactics and the fore father to all Indian speacial ops.
Major General Shabeg Singh was discharged from Indian Army with allegations of financial irregularities just a day before his retirement. This has been claimed due to the fall out with his superiors rather than due to the alleged charges.
After leaving the Army General Shabeg Singh joined Baba Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale at the Akal Takhat, and together with him was one of the leaders of Pro Sikh activists who were present at the Golden Temple in Amritsar in Jume 1984.
He was killed in the the controversial indian army attack on the Harmandir sahib complex (Operation Blue Star). Due to the later events much animosity is held by current generation of Indian military and mainstream hindu alike.
